Stunning, rare Hawaiian dress from the island of Kauai! I'm not certain when it was made - it could be from the 1980s-90s or possibly more recent.
DETAILS: - Polyester fabric with a traditional Polynesian geometric and floral print in red, white, and silver glitter over pink - Elasticized collar and empire waist - Gathered empire bodice and skirt - Loose skirt has slight taper at the ankles - No zipper closer - dress is pull-over - Separate tie to fasten around the waist (could otherwise be worn as a hair tie to match the dress) - Dress is colorfast and can be hand-washed in cold water
MANUFACTURER: No label present - appears handmade

For reference, my measurements in the photos are 34"-26.5"-36" and the dress was loose on me.
CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition.
There's a couple of stray threads at the waist that get covered with the tie, and minor flaws to the print like bleeding. Some of the glitter may have worn off over time but nothing very noticeable. See last photo. Garment has been washed and is ready to wear.
